The FireScope FS-2000 Series appliance delivers all the features of Business Service Management, pre-configured in an appliance. Capable of managing up to 1,000* networked assets such as routers, servers, storage systems and point solutions, the FS-1000 is ideal for large datacenters or mission critical environments. For larger environments, it can integrate with up to 1,000 geographically dispersed FireScope appliances in a parent- or child-node configuration to deliver world-wide BSM capabilities.
Each FS-2000 is delivered with the complete FireScope IT Operations Portal with unlimited user accounts and includes auto-discovery capability, the standard report library with over 40 stock reports and two user licenses for the FireScope Report Designer to create your own reports. One-year free standard support comes with all FS-2000 appliances.
The FS-2000 distinguishes itself from the FS-1000 with two dual-core processors and considerably more system resources in order to manage larger, mission-critical environments. Additionally, the FS-2000 can be configured as a parent-node or child-node in environments with multiple FireScope appliances, and can even be configured for failover when partnered with another FS-2000 or higher appliance.
Deployment of the FireScope FS-2000 is radically simpler than traditional BSM solutions since all of the software is pre-installed. The first time it's powered up, a quick wizard guides you through network configuration and basic settings. All that remains is to configure your managed assets through FireScope's auto discovery features, or manually, and define your business services and key business metrics. As a result, FireScope starts delivering value within the first week of deployment.
In the above diagram, an FS-2000 is deployed at a corporate headquarters. All data collected by other FireScope appliances or Sentinels is pushed up to this appliance, where it is all aggregated and correlated for truly global Business Service Management. This is just one scenario in which the FireScope FS-2000 can be employed. Click any of the FireScope appliances in the diagram above for more information on that model.
* - FireScope does not charge a license fee per managed asset, nor is there a fixed limit to the number of assets managed per FS appliance. This number represents the recommended maximum number of assets managed by a single FS-2000 without experiencing performance degradation, as determined by internal testing of the appliance.
